Carried on a whole suitcase full to Trade City. Of course, the suitcase was carry-on size and HEAVY!!

During trade city...lots of folks that I talked to,,,had no problems with carry on's full of pins..

We did too, and have many times before. Security in Orlando doesn't even blink an eye, and even here in Baltimore we never have a problem. They do usually pull our carry-on off the belt to look through it, but that never takes more than a few minutes.

I highly recommend that you do not send your pins through your checked luggage. Depending how many you have, it will be a lot of weight added, which is costly with current luggage restrictions. Also, frankly, they are easily stolen. Many pintraders have learned that the hard way. :headache:

Thank you all soooo much. Can't wait for our trip in 5 days :cool1:

I always put my pins in my carry on luggage and never had a problem. They might just take you aside and look through the pins.

One year I wasn't feeling well (very bad cold) so I put all my pins about 400) in my checked in luggage. When I got home 100 were missing. They reimbursed me since I still had my invoice from buying on ebay. To think of how many hours I spent on trading. After the fact, someone said I should have gone on ebay and would have probably saw the pins.

That sucks, I would hate losing pins like that. I'm glad you got reimbursed for them tho! :)

OP we go to DL and we drive (about 6 hrs for us) so I don't know but I've seen many people (as well as the pp's) who say it's not a problem at all. :) Enjoy your trip!

I have flown multiple times with my pin bags and lanyard packed in my carryon bag and never had any problems taking them on the plane. Sometimes when going threw the security screening in Toronto they would get looked at because Disney pins are something they don't see all the time, however there was one or two times when they didn't get looked at. As for the security screening in Orlando they see a lot more pins and one time the TSA agent didn't know what they were, however another knew right away they were Disney pins and it made that search go a lot faster.

I've taken my pin collection (some already in the pin bag and some still on the backs because I hadn't had time to put into the book yet) as carry-on last October and didn't have any undo problems. The bag was pulled aside to be manually searched, but they didn't have any problems once they looked.

My daughter travels with her pins all the time and never has any problems. In Florida (when she is going home) they hardly even glance at them. She has never checked them and I would advise anyone to never, ever put your pins in checked bags. I worked way too hard to get my pins and I would hate like heck to lose any of them. :cutie:

Hi,

I was questioned by security about my pins but
they eventually let me take them in my carry-
on luggage.
I think they can be sticky if they want to be
so this is a difficult one to answer.
