Pins for graduate!

Hi all...

Many years ago i joined DIS and learned of this wonderful community. At that time I was planning our very first trip to DW with my husband and then 9 yr. old. Everyone here educated me about pin trading and when we went she started her collection. 9 yrs later, 1 divorce later and 1 solo-trip with my daughter who spent our entire trip in December 09 collecting and trading pins. It was magical to see how this simple pleasure turned into a passion. She now has her collection in frames hanging up in her bedroom.

She and I are traveling to the World in May for her high school graduation gift. What can I do to make this moment special in her life?

Disney sells MANY graduate pins..and bears..and such.
What I would do...
and...I am very mushy...
Is..get her one of the Stuffed bears..or other grad plush...
with clothes..
a lot of them are dressed or have fabric hats...
and....
Buy 1 Grad pin...
it does not have to be current..
get a nice one off of ebay....
and..pin it on the plush....
then..
sneak it on her bed when you arrive at the resort.
Then...you have the whole trip....
to fill up the bear with grad pins...

Great idea! I actually have my pooh graduate from when I graduated high schhol in CA. We went to Disneyland for grad night! Maybe I can bring that and "pass it on to her".

That sounds wonderful...and any adult would appreciate it much more than a new plush...
but, remember...we are talking teenagers.
I have 4 of them....
they are not as mushy and sentimental as us....
unless, of course...she has admired..your Pooh.
another idea is to get one of the Disney grad ear hats..
before the trip... again,
And...
just put it on a plush of HER favorite character.
I did not mean to shoot down your idea..
but,I have had my feelings hurt many a time,
by my teens...
when they blankly looked at me.....
as I gave them..a treasured item of mine.
They WILL take treasured Jewelry though.

there is also an UP 3 pin set for 6 bucks...so..2 bucks a pin...
great for trading.
They have a few custom plush..that they will send you with her name on it...for 13 bucks.

I was told they no longer make the graduate pins anymore. We just came back and was looking for 2010. We did find mickey ears for the graduate which we bought for a whopping $1.99 (on clearance since it is now september). My son loves the ears.

As usual..when it comes to CM's..
a lot have no idea what they are talking about.
They DO sell grad pins.
Every year.
