Coming all the way from Sydney Australia to WDW Florida I would be so FREAKING happy if I could save a few $$ and get a Pin Discount or a Code that so many people speak about. And Free dinning how can I get my hands on that little baby

Does Disney send an email with the details attached??? Are they offered to international visitors????


We are heading to WDW on the 8th December 2011 and will be spending 14 days there until we head to Port Canaveral to board our DCL - Dream for a 4 night christmas cruise. I am dreaming of getting free dinning or at least a discount code that would make christmas really special

Past discussions have highlighted how very few foreign visitors get pin codes to use, which are usually emailed or snail mailed to the lucky recipients, with a 15-digit number code attached at the bottom or under the pricing information.

In your case, I'd check to see if you could use the discounts offered on the .uk Disney site (yeah, I know, but saving money is saving money, right?) or if there's a separate .au Disney site offering similar discounts. UK visitors get great deals for lodging and free dining included, as they tend to stay on site for weeks at a time, and already pay an arm and a leg (or some other valuable body part) to fly to Orlando.

You could try the usual attention getting steps -- register an email address with the formal Disney site, fill in the profile information and check yes to everything they offer in the way of information and promotions. Then order the annual WDW planning DVD, which comes by post, and often triggers a number of emails based on that expression of interest.

Then go back to the Disney main site, log in, and price out and save for later several trip options including dining, rooms and tickets. Go back and review them within several days and then change some of the options.

If you get a pop-up survey, be sure to answer "considering travel, but looking for better value" or "too expensive at this time" in the radio button options.

When you get emails offering you an opportunity to customize maps or play online games or download trip planning apps, do it. Anything that increases your interactivity with the Disney site shows up in the marketing department's "Fairy Godmother Department," and that can only help.

None of these techniques are guaranteed to win you the pin prize, but these techniques have been reported in the past to have been used just prior to receipt of pin codes.
