We are headed to DL in Oct. and was wondering if anyone has used Pinocchio's Workshop? I e-mailed Disney Vacation Planning and this was in the e-mail. It is $13 an hour and it would be nice to have a dinner alone with DH, but I am nervous about leaving my DD(3) with anyone other than myself or my parents (too bad they won't be coming along).

Any information or experience with this service? I would love to hear the details. Well, I just re-read the e-mail and it says children 5-12...but would still like to know what you think of it.

Our kids were 5 and 8 when we put then in Pinocchio's Workshop and they had a wonderful time. If the fireworks are showing when they are there, they take the kids up to the 5th floor balcony to watch. There's lots to do to keep the kids busy and they can even feed your kids dinner for an additional cost. Our kids loved the experience and continue to ask if they can go back.

I would say this is a great option for the younger crowd. I know they state that it's cool up to 12 years old, but I found my 5 year old loved it....my 12 year old not so much. He felt like he was being 'babysat'....yes he was, but you can't tell a 12 year old that he's being dropped of to be babysat :lmao: Anyway, it's a great little area and I felt safe leaving my kids. They were great!!

It says that is only for 5 to 12. Have they changed the age? I would be interested in possibly leaving our dd that will be 2 months shy of 4 for a couple of hours to enjoy dinner. Is this just for onsite reservations?

They haven't changed the age, you still have to be 5. It's also only for DLR guests.

I am always amazed by the information I can find on these boards :thanks:

At least now DH and I know we can go out in the evening alone if we wanted too - maybe for dinner or to visit House of Blues for an hour or two?:hippie:
