Anyone done this?

What sort of activities do they have/do for the kids? - or is it basically just babysitting????

It is basically just babysitting. You drop off your kids there for a night out. It is only for 5 - 12 so with the ages of my kids and the gap, I'll maybe get to use it one time!! By the time DS is five, oldest DD will be 11! But most kids say they really like it. I believe it's about $13 an hour per kid if I remember right!

They have coloring, tv, serve snacks/meal, and other activities that they engage the kids in.

In the sticky FAQ thread at the top there is a thread for hotels. Go to the GCH one for pics of Pinocchio's Workshop. :)

They do art projects, watch movies, play video games, and other activities. They also have snacks/meals (like PB & J Uncrustables and other stuff).

It's for kids age 4 and older, and you know what? Our youngest is going to be 4 in June! YEAH!:cool1: Now, DH and I will be able to ride Screamin' for the first time and maybe have a nice dinner together one evening.:thumbsup2

Sorry to burst your bubble but it's 5 and older, you have another year to wait!!

My kids did last Aug and loved it. According to my dd(5) and ds(9), they had a hoola hooping contest, video games, painting, movies, air hockey table, books to read, computers, and board games. It's a minimum 2 hours and $13 an hour with a minimum 2 hours per kid. You also have the option of having them eat dinner there if they are there when dinner is served (i believe it's at 7:30pm). And if there are fireworks that night, they also take the kids to the 6th floor to watch it (again if your kids are there at 9:25pm). The kids are asking to do it again for our next trip. I figure, we'd toss the kids there for a few hours while dh and i have a nice dinner and while we do the fantasmic balcony.

Oh man, that stinks!:headache:

At WDW, the kids clubs are for kids between the ages of 4 and 12, and I just assumed it was the same at Pinocchio's Workshop at the GCH.

Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait another year before riding Screamin'.:goodvibes

I know!! I wish it was. CA laws make the age limit higher for them due to the fact that this one is smaller and has less staff than in WDW!! I have many years to wait, but I will use it atleast once!!!
