Hello DISers,

On Saturday, April 17, the Walt Disney Family Museum is presenting:

The Making of Pinocchio

3:00 pm
J.B. Kaufman, film historian and author of an upcoming book on Pinocchio, discusses the craftsmanship that went into creating one of Disney's most beautiful films. Learn how 750 artists collaborated to produce over 2 million drawings and get the inside scoop on what it took to turn Pinocchio into a real boy.

Pinocchio has always been my favorite animated film. I am dazzled when I see the artistry of this film and realize it was all done completely by hand without the aid of computers and Xerox machines.

If this is like previous presentations, I suspect they will show the film after the talk. Pinocchio has not been shown on a large screen since the 1980s shortly before its release on home video, so this will really be an extra special treat!

I have an extra ticket to this event. If any DISers would like to have the ticket, please send me a private message.
