Pink eye without it being red???

The corner of my eye is itchy and uncomfortable and very sore if you touch it. It feels like the beginning of pink eye but it isn't at all red. Normally I would wait it out a few more days, but, we are going out of town on Thursday (seems like something ALWAYS comes up when we go out of town). I hate to call the dr and say "I think I have pink eye but my eye isn't red". My DH thought maybe a sinus infection, which I have never had. Is that possible. The dr's office isn't open yet but I am going to call when it does open.

I would call - it may or may not be pink eye but it could also be another type of infection. Definitely worth getting checked out especially with you going away.

If it is an eye infection - make sure you toss out your eye liner, mascara and eye shadow and get all new just to be safe.

If you are going out of town it is best to get it checked to be on the safe side.

The times I have had pink eye my eyes felt like they have sand in them. I got it once at DD's daycare and it was hurting/scratching within 10 minutes.

Are you prone to allergies at all? My eyes do this all the time when I'm having allergy problems.

I have an appointment this morning. I do have allergies, something I have developed in the past year, yuck. This isn't the same as itchy eyes with allergies, it feels like I have a stone in the corner of my eye. It is a little swollen and that is what I am feeling I am sure. I just hope I can wear my contacts to drive on Thursday . I would have waited another day or so before calling normally but with being out of town and out of state I didn't want to take a chance that it was something more serious.

Went to the Dr. said it was probably a sinus infection and since we were going out of town gave me an antibiotic. I have never had a sinus infection before so this is new. The right side of my face has a lot of pressure right now so and I have a headache so I hope the antibiotic helps.
