Pink Dumbos and Pretty Princesses ~ April 17th~19th ~ Conclusion 7/6

Hi everyone! Welcome to my short and sweet TR! We just got back from WDW on Tuesday, the 20th... SO sad to come home but we had a blast during our 3 short days, and we are already planning our next trip! Meet the cast!
Me ~ Brea, 30 yr old Disney obsessed mom of 2 (and one on the way!)
Dave ~ just turned 30 yr old SO (soon to be DH?!) and starting to love Disney also!
Zay ~ 5 yr old DS, loves Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Legos
Briar ~ 2.5 yr old DD, loves Princesses and all things pink

I didn't tell the kids we were going to WDW until 5 days before we left, they were SO excited! I booked the trip about a month earlier, right before the 25% resort code expired.. when I called I was informed that I had a FREE QS dining pin! WOOO!!! Anyway, want to see some pics??

Here we go! We left Saturday morning about 8am for the airport.. the kids are super excited! Briar wanted to fly on a "pink airplane!"

On the plane.. we are taking off.. Zaylor's face is red and he's gripping the armrest.. says OH MY GOSH!!! Briar says Let's Do Dis!

On the Magical Express bus, headed to Pop Century!

We stayed in the '70s building.. GrOovY... facing the abandoned building across the lake? Weird..

My original plan was to go to AK our first day, but by the time we got checked in, and I upgraded our tickets to 3 day base tickets, it was 2pm.. and AK closed at 5pm! So we decided on...

I wanted to see the Flower and Garden Festival so off we went!

I loved all of the flowers! SO pretty and it smelled wonderful.

So.. Zay saw another child with his face painted, and of course he wanted to get his done. We found a little stand in the World Showcase, the girl did a GREAT job!! Briar also wanted hers done, UNTIL she saw Zay's face! She thought they were going to do a scary face on her too!!

The face painter said she would do mine instead, since we had already paid.

When Briar saw that mine was pretty, she wanted hers done too!! The girl was super sweet and painted Briar's face as well.

We ran into Donald in Mexico!

Fairies!! The Fairy Garden and Butterfly house was absolutely adorable!

Here is where our nearly two hour adventure of getting BACK to Pop begins.. Z wants to ride the monorail, because he didn't get to ride it last time we were at WDW. So, we hop on. We get OFF at the TTC at MK.. now what? There is no bus there that runs to Pop, so we walk down to take the ferry on over to MK, to find a bus to Pop from there. Here we are waiting on the ferry.

You notice by now it's dark out.. we haven't had dinner yet, we flew into Orlando that morning, AND we are all tired.. The ferry pulls up, the guy says that it will be awhile, someone was sick and they had to call an ambulance! Back we go to the monorail. While on the monorail to MK, we pass through the Contemporary. My DS happens to be looking out the window, and spots "Mickey the Baker". He says, "Do we get to have a meal with him??" I said, "No, I couldn't get a reservation, they were full." The look on his face just broke my heart. Poor little guy. He informed me that our NeXT Disney trip would include a meal with "Mickey the Baker".

We FINALLY make it to MK, onto a bus, and back to our hotel.. it took us nearly 2 hours for that trip!!

Pics of Pop Century! We had most of our breakfasts at Everything POP and a couple dinners also. The food was actually good!

We never did make it to the pool. It was just so cool out and rainy and we were always on the go!

After a quick breakfast at Everything Pop, we are off to DHS!! We actually get there pretty early, are up fairly close to the rope, and get to count down to rope drop.. "Everyone WALK please!" 3...2....1.... GO!!
We are off to TSM!! Only... we got caught up in the crowd that was headed towards Rock n Roller Coaster.. NO!! Sidetracked! We have to BACK track against that crowd to get over to TSM.. this took MAYBE 10 minutes.. and already there is a 30 minute standby wait time, and the line for the FPs is HUGE!! We decided to go ahead with the stand by line..

I just love the queing area, SO cute.

TSM is the first ride at WDW that I've been able to ride with my DS instead of DD! She is truly a mama's girl and always wants to be right with me!

DS, though, is only thinking of one thing. The ONE thing he's been thinking of since we told him we are going to Disney. INDIANA JONES.
After TSM we head over to Indiana Jones to see when the show is! Not till 11:30! We have quite some time to wait.. so we go see Lightning & Mater, and take a little walk.. AND get some more face painting done!

great start to your little TR! I'm loving all of the pictures you took! Your kids are sooo cute..especially with their little faces painted! I think that pic you took was in Norway..i think that's like a Viking ship...not too sure! Someone correct me if i'm wrong! Can't wait to see more pics!

Here is the view from our room at Pop Century. Does anyone know anything about the finishing of the 1900-1940's building?

After a quick nap at the hotel (kids and I are exhausted!)

I tried unsuccessfully to wash the paint off of Z's face. I got MOST of it.. except right around his eyes, so in the rest of my pics for the day, it looks like he is wearing EYELINER!!
We went to DD to do some shopping and eat. First we ate at Wolfgang Puck Express ... delicious! Sorry, no food pics. We shopped at the World of Disney where.. $150 later.. we all now have hoodies and Briar has some Minnie crocs. HOPEfully she will leave them ON lol... Last but not least we head over to the Harley shop!

They both were very impressed with the bikes you could 'ride'. And once again.. $150 later we leave with a hoodie for SO, shirts for SO and me, and some toys for the kids. By this point, I am starting to wonder if we will have enough room in our suitcases for everything we've acquired during this trip!!

We are all tired so we head back to the room to get some sleep for our big MK day coming up!!!

Our final day. Our MK day. We get up super early and are off to Everything POP for breakfast. After eating as quickly as possible, we head towards our bus to MK. We decided to rent a double stroller for the day, so we don't have to mess with getting it on and off the bus, and just because I like how they push and steer so easily. We get to the park right at 8:00am! So.. what do we do while we wait for an hour to get INSIDE?!

It was a bit chilly. Dave & I have a plan. He is going to run through the gate with the kids, while I grab the stroller and meet him on the other side of the train station. Pretty good thinking, right? Besides the fact that I was FIRST in line to PaY for our stroller, there was still hundreds of people that had already rushed past us while I was waiting to get the stroller. Oh well.. on to Dumbo we go!

DD HAS to ride on the PINK Dumbo! lol!

After Dumbo we ride Peter Pan, Snow White's Scary Adventures (btw, my DS5 was not scared in the least bit, however DD2.5 was SCARED of the witch), and Cindy's Carousel. By then it was nearly 10am so we head to ToonTown to meet some Princesses!!

Joining in! Your kids are so cute! Congrats on the little guy on the way. Have you thrown around any names yet? When are you do? Looks like a great little trip. Would you recommend the 70s at POP? I want something that is quiet but near Everything POP and the bus stop.

HI there!!

We DO have some names picked out but I like to keep them a secret until he's born!

I'm due Sept 23rd but hoping it's more like the first of Sept!

We really enjoyed the 70s at POP. Since we were on the backside of the hotel it was VERY quiet. We were also on the top floor so NO ONE above us stomping around!

I think the 70s building is pretty much centrally located in between Everything POP and the bus stop. There are some short cuts that you can find after you've been there!

DS does NOT want to meet the Princesses.. how many times did I have to hear it?? Well, DD DOES want to (she's slightly Princess obsessed ATM) so off we go to Toon Town!! After a quick potty break along the way (2 year old and pregnant woman, what do you expect LOL) we go get in line. Faires = 25 minutes. Princesses = 15. We jump quickly in line to meet some Princesses!! But.. DS doesn't want to meet them!! We'll see about that..


First up, Princess Aurora. She is GORGEOUS and has the sweetest voice!! DS runs right up to her.. then starts getting embarrassed when Aurora TALKS to him!!

Aurora asks what his name is, and what his little sister's name is. When Zay says that his little sister is BRIAR. She made the biggest deal about her fairies calling her Briar Rose when she grew up!! It was SO sweet!

A quick hug from one of our favorites!!

Next up.. Cinderella!!!

Hmm... who didn't want to meet the Princesses??!

And he was SO embarrassed.. but he held all of their hands and stared into their eyes...

Last but not least, Belle. Or, as Briar says "beauty and the beast"

Briar couldn't get over her pretty yellow dress!

Next.. a trip to Minnie's and a skinned up knee..

After our meeting with the Princesses, we decide it's time to buy some Mickey ears! Briar picks Princesses (of course), and Zay picks scratch 'n sniff POPCORN ears I bought plain black infant size ears for the baby. : At the time, we didn't know the sex of the baby.. I ALMOST bought the baby blue ones at the Disney store, but didn't. Then, we found out I COULD have bought the BLUE ones!!
We decided to go and visit Minnie's house for a bit!

SO and DS are off to ride Goofy's Barnstormer, Briar and I are off to Donald's boat (what's this called?) On the way into the boat, Briar fell and skinned her leg from her knee down to her ankle. She screamed and I had to carry her to the bathroom to get cleaned up. By the time we were finished with that, SO and DS are finished riding... DD is STILL crying, and we happened to sit down on the curb next to another little boy that also had fell and skinned his knees. I ask Briar, "What can I do to make it better?" She says "Ice cream". Well, ice cream it is!! We head back to Tomorrowland and get some chocolate ice cream, it was delicious. My kids are SO messy!!

After cleaning up their mess, we head back to Fantasyland! Cinderella's Carousel!!
Yes, every time I got the camera out this is the face I got from Briar.

By now, it's lunch time! Pinnocchio Village Haus on the second story balcony... SO nice to overlook Fantasyland while dining! I wish I had taken pics of our food...

Next, a magic carpet ride and a trip through a treehouse!

Adventure land and Frontierland!! We found this mean little boy that was obviously in time out and decided to snap a pic

Then we took a ride on a magic carpet! DS of course was in control, and he nearly made me sick with all the bouncing up and down! Both dc said they like the carpets better than Dumbo.

Ahh the Swiss Family Treehouse. I know, I know, a lot of people think it's a waste of time.. but I just love it. My parents took me to WDW when I was 5, (I'm 31 now!) and I can still remember it... so we go visit every trip!

As we were coming down the stairs, it starts to sprinkle.. just a little, nothing major. So we ride POTC. As we exit, there is a MaJOR downfall going on, so we hang out where all of the pirate stuff is. I think we had to wait about 15 minutes for the rain to let up enough for us to go take a raft to Tom Sawyer's Island. This is such a cute attraction! I had never been over there before, so didn't really know exactly what to expect. With the recent rain, I should've expected lots of mud puddles. DS fell INTO a puddle, and DD splashed into one and they were both SOaKED and I had to change their clothes.

It is still raining off and on, and we head back to TomorrowLand, to see Mike's Laugh Floor. DD is sitting on my lap, and of course the monster wants to talk to the TWO-headed human! Me!! I was SO embarrassed!! They asked me about my hometown and I had to talk into a mic!! It was SO funny though, because I was just SURE that SO was going to be the one they picked on!!

And.. last but not least.. here are my 'leaving the park, but I don't wanna' pics of the castle... in the rain..

And.. the next morning we had to be up and on the ME at 5:30am. See you real soon, Mickey!!
