Pinel Island Tour-can you take taxi?

Was wondering if you can get to Pinel Island by taxi-ferry without taking the Disney Tour.
Tour is already booked and some of our group
couldn't get reservations. Cheers, Gary

Yes, definately. We might do this on our own also on 11/2. Taxi to the "cul de sac?" then the little boats over to the island. I think the boats are $5pp, not sure how much the taxi would be to the boat area though. Search Pinel Island. That is where I found out information.
