Pine Grove Ranch in NY, any experiences?

I'd love to hear from anyone who has visited this ranch. I'm considering it for our summer vacation.

Never even heard of it before today. I just googled it, and they have their own website.

I went with my family years ago when I was probably 14 or so. We went during the winter months. We went with another family that my parents were good friends with. We have some very funny memories about this place. First, when we checked in, everything was fine, then the other family we went with checked in, then they ran into our room, seems they found a black lace underwear on the floor. The funny part is that the husband of the family we went with thought that us or his wife planted it there because he is known to be a serious ladies man. Then there was a male employee that worked there, and everywhere we went we would bump into him, he was working at the snack stand, he was the babysitter, he worked at the pool, ect. Everytime we saw him we would explode in laughter, he was a little sleazy looking and everyone teased me that he was following me around. We rode horses, went on hay rides, did some snow sports, swimming, as I said it was probably almost 20 years ago, but we still laugh when we see the advertisement for it in the paper. I don't know how it is at summer, but I'm sure you'll have a fun time.

I just booked my trip for February for the Pinegrove Dude Ranch. We are going with my sister and her family. Hopefully its as good as it looks on their website. We went to the Rocking Horse Ranch (also in NY) a few years ago, and that was a lot of fun. We just figured we try a different place this year.

We had a hard time deciding if we should go for the winter or for the summer.

Bottom line -
1st impression was -
we were going to hate it - utter dissapointment after going to disney 6 months prior... we are going to be bored... the room was big - but not disney
Final impression -
we will go back it was great! The family games were a blast, (dh would not ride, ds, did the pony ride once - and that was one to many times, dd only rode once, i rode a few times - I will try to trot next time )
Key word next time -
we were just talking about maybe going this summer too.
Preteens favorite thing was the coketail party with dancing, and kareoke,
toddlers favorite the pool and playground
dads favorite was the 'cocktail hour' and waterslides
moms favorite all inclusive food and ICE CREAM, and rock climbing wall!
