Bare with me, because I'm still in a bit of a fog. :)

The cast:

-- Me. I'm Will (32 at the end of the month). I am a substitute high school teacher, which means right now I tend to do nothing since it's close to finals. When the weather cooperates, I also umpire baseball, all levels from Little League through adult.

-- DW. Julie (32). She is a high school band/choir director. We both teach at the same school, and I tend to sub for her when she has to be out because I know music.

-- DS. Morgan (3). Has already been to Disneyland twice (July 08 and Dec 08) and absolutely loved it. This last time, we took him on BTR and Matterhorn and he had a blast.

Background: DW is the only one out of the three of us that has ever been to WDW, and that was her freshman year of high school (1991) for a band trip. We started playing around with the 4/3 deal when we first saw it last month, finally decided that we wanted to do it, and booked it.

Trip Details: We are leaving the West Coast on Sunday, June 7 on a night flight, arriving in Orlando at about 7:30 am on the 8th. We will be staying at ASMu and leaving the morning of the 16th.

To say that I'm excited is a bit of an understatement. To be honest, it's all a bit overwhelming. I still don't know what else I can do at this point. I can't make any ADR's until 90 days (3/10).

Congrats on booking your first trip!! :jumping1:

My suggestion is to spend lots of time here on the DIS and get a good guidebook! Can't wait to hear more about your plans! :surfweb:

Well, I already realize I made a mistake in my initial post. We actually land in Orlando at 6:16 in the morning. I absolutely HATE the idea of losing practically an entire day flying from the west to the east, so leaving the night before on a night flight was the best idea.

I've already made reservations at Chef Mickey's as they are taking res throuhg June 19.

Books have been bought. We bought the UG, the WDW with Kids book, and the Birnbaum. We also ran into some luck. We were shopping at a Disney store and bought a small item. I guess my wife mentioned we were thinking of booking a trip to WDW and the employee said that they still had 08 versions of the Kids Birnbaum book and sold it to us for $1.99.

Are there other books that I may want to look at buying? Something that might give other options and other points of view?

Congrats on your first trip! That's such a special occassion. I've loved both of our trips and am very much looking forward to our next, but there's nothing like your first time on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom. :goodvibes

You asked about books - have you looked at the Passporter? I like that one too.
