Could someone please explain to me what exactly a PIN is? How do I go about getting one? I do recieve discount codes off hotels every so often, is this the same thing? Thanks in advance!

A PIN code is a unique discount code that Disney sends you. The type of offer varies but the code is meant just for the recipient and cannot be used by friends or family. There is no rhyme of reason for how Disney sends out these offers but some people think that ordering the planning CD or visiting the website and saving a vacation details can trigger one. Just make sure that Disney has your email address on file.

PINs are just special offers that are sent/intended for a certain person or family. It could be anything from free dining (we received a free dining offer for Spring Break) to a % off resort. The emails usually starts out something "Special Savings for the Smith Family..." and at the bottom it will have a 16 (?) digit PIN code that you must give them when you call.

It seems like we always get offers when we don't have a trip in the works or when we just returned from one. How/why/when/to whom the PIN offers are sent out is the million dollar question but just make sure you're signed up on the website, browse around when you're signed in, order a vaca planning CD just so they know you're interested.

Pin codes are available to you if you have been to Disney before. If you call the Disney number and ask if there is a pin attached to your account you just may have one! We had one for a resort upgrade. We upgraded from POP to CBR. It was awesome! They do not let you combine pins though. So if you had a pin for free dining you couldn't combine that with a rack rate discount.

We sometimes get them in our email and only a few times had offers mailed to our house.

Thanks all! I do get some offers to me but wasn't sure if this was a "PIN." I also just received something in the mail for August
