I don't have any pictures because it's packed away in my attic, but I never realized pin trading was such a big thing until I started reading these threads a few weeks ago. My senior year of high school 1995, I worked for the Disney Store during Christmas. I know I bought several pin sets while I was workign there. The only one I remember in detail is a Lion King set. It would have been from the original release of the movie,I think it had like 6 or 7 pins in a collector's "box" with a cardboard insert with a picture from the movie on it. Does anyone have any idea how much something like that migth be worth? I'm wonderign if it might be worth me cleaning out my attic. I remember the box was not in the best shape as the hinges had come loose, but I think all the pins are still on there.

There isn't really a value guide like you can find for baseball cards or comic books, but you can try searching ebay to see if you can find anything close for an idea of what to list them for. They do sell a "guidebook" in the parks but it doesn't really list "value" per se, it lists how common pins are and shows photos but I know it doesn't even show all the pins available because I have pins that aren't in the book. You can also go to pinpics.com and see how "wanted" your set is. Each pin has a list of traders trading and traders wanting.

Check pinpics, but I think you are referring to #5838. There are 12 people with it for trade and 16 who want it. You also might want to look at prior sales at Internet auction sites.

Look up Tomart's Disneyana magazine. You can look up the pin set and it will give you a grade A- E. Towards the front of the magazine it gives a value listing.
A- under $10
B- $11 to$35
C- $36 to $75
D- $75 to $125
E- $126 and over
Specific values are listed when they exceed $175

Tomart is the one we have. It does have the value listing but IME it's not very accurate. :)
