Is Pin Trading still a thing? Or am I going to look like a total weirdo if I walk around with my lanyard full of pins to trade?

Also walk along the decks with staterooms. Quite a few people hang pin trading boards on their stateroom doors :)

Brave, trusting souls - I don't know I have the faith in humanity required to do that, but I'll keep an eye out for them =)
Thank you

I'm going to put a pin board on my stateroom door on my September cruise. The pins I will put out will be pins that I class as trading pins and I'm fully expecting to loose a few. Also I'm not going to a lot of pins on the board, maybe 10 , and just see what happens :)

Most do pin trading boards on their doors. Only issue it‘s a trust thing. It‘s a take one, leave one. That is what we do. We put our pins we are willing to get rid of, regardless of what we get. I personally have seen, many kids with pins on their laynards but assume they are just eating not trading. I don’t notice anyone stealing ours. People do trade. I did it tons.

At breakfast and lunch, the CMs at the entrance to cabanas and the sit down restaurant wear pin lanyards to trade. As mentioned previously, there is also officer pin trading, pin books in the shops, and pin boards on stateroom doors.

As far as wearing pins, my daughter has two lanyards. She wears one with pins when she knows she is trading, and has a blank one to wear when she's going to the clubs oe just generally moving around the ship.

honest question - does anyone ever trade anything GOOD? My son has good taste in pins and everyone wants his pins but they only ever offer cheapies - often not even official pins. He did get a really cool 'Remy' pin from one of the officers - that's the only pin he has ever traded and felt like it was an equally beneficial trade

I’ve found many LE pins onboard including New Year’s and Special Itineraries. I think these are added by DCL to the lanyards and books, and know for a fact they bring out special pins during Officer Pin Trading, but I have seen other guests willing to trade good pins.
