Pin trading

We haven't been to Florida since 2002, does Universal do pin trading like they do at WDW, my little one started that back then and really enjoyed it, but this trip we will be doing Universal and wasn't sure.

No, Universal does not do pin trading like they do at disney. They sell pins, and you may run into some people that have pins, but they do not make it an attraction in and of itself like they do at wdw.

We traded with CMs @ kiosks & in shops that sold pins last trip (of course that was a loooooooong time ago ).

Bought some trade bait on eBay, hope we'll find some TMs raring to go

My youngest son just mentioned the kind lady that worked the stand @ IOA by the lake; everyday she'd motion him over when we entered the park to check out her lanyard's offerings....dare I say: "magical" Of course we made sure to buy most of our pins there

I love my pin collection from Universal. I dont think I could part with a single one of em but the TM's do trade. There is also specific pin trading set up at some shops and stores. At IOA Islands of Adventure Trading Co, Dinostore and Toon Extra the TM's will trade with you. At USO Aftermath, MIB Gear, The Barney Store, Sahara Traders and Studios Styles will trade with you.


Last time we were there in February there was a specific Pin Trading mention on the park map with location so have a look at that as you enter.

The turnstile greeters are now doing pin trading also. But I agree, it isn't as widespread as at Disney.

I was there last March and saw a TM with a lanyard. I asked if they traded and she said "definitely". Feel free to approach any TM with a lanyard.
