Pin trading?

The CM's are not allowed to turn you down if you want to trade for something on their lanyard. The only exception is the the green lanyard CM's trade with kids only. They have to let you pick what ever you want and take what ever you offer. That is how the CM explained it to me. She suggested getting a starter kit for DS4 - it had 8 pins (2 of each ) one to trade and one to keep. For DS17 and my self we each bought a lanyard we liked and several pins we wanted - DS went with Villians and I went with a variety. by the end I was collecting Tinkerbell. At any of the Pin Collecting stores the CM's are very knowlegeable and can answer just about any question. I will warn you can become a very expensive obsession. I was on teh Disney store site and found some large LE pins for DS for Christmas. DH has "forbidden" ebay (what he doesn't know can't hurt him) but I am trying to get a rare Syndrome pin for DS for Christmas.

You can also get real disney pins for cheap sometimes at the disney outlet store...about a mile or so outside the Downtown Disney entrance onto the property...They go for about $3...They are mostly pins that they had a hard time selling, but they are great for trading with cast members...I've even seen the cruise pins being sold there...In anycase I love going there because of all the discounted authentic disney stuff from in the parks, t-shirts, mugs, toys, whatever... A great place to check out if you have a car

Actually they can turn you down if what you are trying to trade is already on their lanyanrd. However, they ususually don't follow this rule when trading with children.
