Pin Trading????

Not sure if this is where I should post? I just wanted to get some information on pin trading. We have never done this before and are considering it for our next trip. What exactly do you do? I know there are "rules" about it, but am basically clueless. Can someone please explain or post a link or something to help me out?

As long as you have a pin with a Disney logo on the back you can trade with any cast member who is wearing a lanyard. You just walk up to them and look at their pins and they will know that you may want to trade. I have had some nice conversations with cm's while doing trading.

The only exception to trading is the cm's wearing the yellow lanyards. They will only trade with children.

It is a great thing to do. After the initial investment, it is "free" - DD9 loves coming home with new pins each visit. We have pins that we buy that we don't trade for special events, holidays, etc, but she has about 12 on her trading lanyard, which are ever changing! I too enjoy the conversations that we have with the CMs.
