alright ya'll I have another dumb question... I just got some pins off ebay and from other places to use as traders and kind of have a question about trade "value" as in I know if the trade to want value is say 10-50 then you might want to hold it and trade for a better pin or with someone other than a CM... and in the traders I got I have pins with trade/wants of anywhere from 144-32 ( pretty well trade to a CM right??)) to 13-127 ( hold out for a GOOD one right?))

ok my big question is with pins with trade to wants that are roughly equal say from 30-40 or 56-41 how would you rate their trade value??

and do I have the right concept on the others?

thanks
Robert

I use the trades/wants ratio as a guide. Your assumptions on the 2 examples is basically correct. As for "equal value pins".... when trading with CMs I try to put something back on their lanyard that is roughly equal to what I took off. At the very least I try to put something a kid would want, a princess for the girls or something I know to be popular with boys like Buzz or Sulley. It is much more fun for the CMs that way.

While I have made a few lopsided trades over the years, both for me (never intentionally) and against, I have found it all balances out in the end and I don't sweat it. Just have fun with it. The biggest thing about a trade is that both parties are happy with it .

Hi Robert
Every thing that Dom said...DITTO

About the even ones.....that just becomes a personal preference sometimes. Sometimes I just get sick of looking at a particular pin, I will trade it away for anything just to trade it!
