Pin trading question

Is there any reason you can't or shouldn't use the brim of a bucket hat for putting your pins on to trade? I am considering this for my 4 year old in October. I figure he can take the hat off to trade if he wants, otherwise it would be out of the way. Any other ideas other than a neck lanyard for him?
Thanks,
Suzanne

I have decorated my backpack that I carry through the parks with the pins. Here are the problems I ran into....they get heavy if you have a lot on there and I kept losing the backs to the pins because I kept opening and closing the backpack.

That's just my experience. Hope it helps in some way. :goodvibes

They are wonderful....
We use locking backs to secure the pins we do NOT want to trade. They are about $8.95 for a pack of 12 backs.

You can get creative with your pin display. Hubby wore a few pins on his baseball cap, DD and I wear the dorky lanyards.
I've seen a lady wearing a vest (looked like a large Girl Scout Vest) and it was FULL of pins front to back!
I think a bucket hat would look cute, plus it would protect his face from the sun too.

Have fun pin collecting and trading!!!
