Pin Trading Question

We are leaving for Disney tomorrow. My DD age 12 loves to pin trade. She has been trading since she was 5 and only trades with the cast members. There are about 4 pins from the Lanyard Series 4 she would like to have, she is a Tink collector and likes the pin with the Unicorn. Are lanyard pins easy to find on the cast member lanyards? I read a few months ago lanyard pins were hard to find. Any suggestions on the best place to find lanyard pins.

I think it all depends on when you go. There are times when they are scarce and times when we have found them plentiful. I like to trade with Cast Members everywhere. I know that one Cast Member at the Wilderness Lodge pin cart has a trade book of Cast Lanyard pins. You must trade a Cast Lanyard pin for a Cast Lanyard pin in that book though. I don't know if it is in your plans, but I have had some good luck at the water parks. It seems that fewer people bring their pins into a water park for trading. I can't give any current hints because I haven't been down to WDW since December, but I will wish you luck on the hunt!

My best tip is the early bird gets the worm, if you are staying on property make use of the Extra Magic hour to get the first look at CM lanyards. I always have good luck in AK. Also you can trade for even lanyard pins you dont like and then trade for what you want with others. All the LS4 pins can be found...you just have to look

Perhaps this should be for DVC board, but what #'s would you call to get the DVC exclusive pins, if there was any left???

Lanyard Series 4. Each year they come out with a new series of pins that you can't buy but must trade with a CM to get. (hence pin TRADING)

Not sure there really would be a # to call since DVC pins are sold all over the resort. I picked up a DVC Figment pin at Sorcerer's Hat in MGM.
