Hi Torontogal.

You might want to check the DizPINdex for a more complete list of terms, but here are the answers to the ones you listed:

Open stock - Also known as Core, Open Edition, or Rack pins. These pins do not have an announced edition size. Many times you will find these are character or attraction pins. They are usually readily available on the racks and carts for a long time period.

Booster collection - A packaged set of pins that help boost your collection. For example, you can buy a booster package that contains nothing but Tinker Bell pins. (This term isn't listed on the DizPINdex.)

Castmember Lanyard - The Cast Lanyard Series was introduced several years ago as a unique way for Cast Members to trade pins with Guests. These Cast Lanyard Series pins are only available for trade from Cast Members. Guests can trade up to two (2) Cast Lanyard Series pins per Cast Member per day. "Cast Lanyard Series" is featured in a small box on the backstamp of each pin. These pins are not considered "Limited Edition" rather they are "exclusive" to Cast Members' lanyards. Every September a new series of "Cast Lanyard" pins is introduced.

These pins are created by the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Merchandise Team. They are created so Cast Members in ALL lines of business can trade unique pins with Guests. The Disneyland Resort has a Cast Lanyard Series that is different from the Walt Disney World Cast Lanyard Series.

Also known as the Hidden Mickey Collection. The name change is based on the current identifier found on Hidden Mickey pins, a small Mickey Mouse icon.

Hope this helps!

Open Stock means that it is not a Limited Edition pin. LE pins state on the back the size of the edition (can be anything from 100 - 20,000). Open Stock pins are sometimes also referred to as a "rack" or "core" pins. They can be sold for years and years or for a very short time.

Booster collection pins are those that are sold at the park in a set and are marketed as less expensive trading alternatives (as opposed to paying full price for a single pin for sale)

Cast Lanyard pins (now called Hidden Mickey Series pins) are pins that have not been for sale and can only be obtained by trading with a Disney Cast Member. These pins have a small Mickey head icon on them that makes it easy to spot pins in these series.

I hope this information helps.
