Pin Trading on the Today Show this morning!

Did you see the little kid with two pin trading lanyards full of pins who was in the Today Show crowd this morning ( in Salt Lake)? Evidently, he is a Katie Couric fan, and he was there to give her 4 pins !! She seemed appreciative.
Al Roker was wearing a hat with a large number of pins on it as well. Nothing like "THE HAT", if course, but a decent start.
Not a lot was said on the show, but Pin Trading is getting national exposure!!
What I want to know is, where was Jeff??? What an opportunity to be on national TV - show up at the Today Show set location, with pins !!
We can only hope.

get over there and convince them to do an whole hour on the trading stuff. hahahaha The olympics are once every four years but pin trading is EVERY DAY !!!

Yes, on the show last night they did a segment on the people who chose to walk up a very long hill to see the ski jumpers rather than take the bus. At the end of the segment they revealed that the people were choosing to do this "crazy" thing because the first 1,000 or so who arrived were going to receive a pin. My husband just groaned and said, "It figures. Pin people." (My husband is NOT my biggest supporter in this hobby.)

But it was not a Disney pin... Now for that I might have walked up... I wonder if they would let you slide down the jump???
