Just wanted to let off a little steam
My DS13 has been trading pins since our first Disney Cruise. He likes to collect series. On this trip he got a letter in a mystery pick, so he decided to collect the alphabet. This we have found is quite a challenge, but lot's of fun
Anyway on our last day (of course) we find out that at one of the stores in DTD they do a trade at 2:30 and 6:30 where you can look at the stores book and make two trades. They draw cards and this is how your place in line is determind. Well my DS had the 4 of spades, they started with clubs so he was about 10 in line. There were 9 letters in the book 4 were doubles and 1 other, he was very excited because he felt he had a good chance to get a least one letter. The first 4 people picked and no one picked a letter
Well then the next 5 people were together all picking for one person, they took ALL the letters including doubles
While I fully believe you were first in line you have first choice I feel this family was being greedy. I'm not complaining about them picking letters but to pick all the letters including the doubles for 1 person really made me mad. It was hard to watch DS as they continued to "clean up" at one point the ring leader told the person picking that if there were no letters left they would be free to chose something of their liking
Needless to say my DS learned a lesson that day. Because he spent so much time in DTD trading pins he made some friends with cast members who kindly hooked him up with 5 letters after this so he left happy
All in all he found 14 letters this trip, and he worked hard for all of them.
