Pin Trading in the disney stores

Oh wow, that sounds amazing seobaina!

I'll most certainly be keeping an eye out for the 'trees' in my local store and will most definitely make my own donation. That's a wonderful gesture to the kids who are less fortunate.

If you can let us know when your 'tree' appears then I'd know when to head off to my local store and make my donation.

I went to Guildford store yesterday and exchanged my Vue ticket stubs for the "Up!" pins.. I thought I'd only get one (as I was shopping alone) but the CM gave me a pin for each ticket!! It's really beautiful & I probably would've bought it anyway.

Thanks for the update on the wishing star pin, I heard something about it but did not know much so am pleased to hear the update.

Wish I could get the Up pin but there is not a Vue cinema near me, the nearest one is 1.5 hours away from me and I cannot persuade hubby to go watch the film then go to a Disney store just to get the pin. I am still trying but doubt it is going to happen.

If anyone has a spare I would love to trade for it.

it's quite possible that I'll be building the tree in my store as I'm the only CM who has had a practice run at it so I will certainly let you guys know. I'll try to double check the dates on tues too.

Wow, I really haven't posted on this site for a bit

Took a trip to my local DS (Southampton, which really isn't that local) and seeing as I'd gone to see Up, got that pin, traded for another Mickey cast member, and my sister and I bought £50 worth of pins between us. The Grape Soda pin is a new favourite!

That's a great question! I did wonder why they'd taken away the 'coming soon' page, silly if you ask me, because we don't know when the next pins are out, hence, we don't call into store as much!

I have spoken to the Disney store and have been advised that the coming soon section will be returning soon. It was missed off when the website was changed and will definately be back.

That is good news. I was trying to remember when the new core Tink comes out. My nearest Disney store is just over an hour away so I need to make a special trip to get it.

It is probably worth still calling your local store the day before if you are looking for a specific pin as there have been a few occasions that that pins have not been released on the scheduled dates.

Like today, I went looking for the new Up core pin and it was nowhere to be found. Also does anyone know as to when we'll be getting to see the lovely new name tag pins on lanyards? I'm desperate to get my hands on them they look sooo cute!!!

The Up core pin was released on Saturday.

This coming Saturday the 6th will have 2 LE pins,
Brave Little Tailor and Sttich in a Dome
and 2 core pins
Dory and Tink in a flower

Sorry for not saying earlier but they changed the dates on us. Our charity tree went up on sunday and we start selling the plush/pins from tomorrow. Check with your store when they start but most are tomorrow and I think all this week.

Just to let people know, I've been to the Trafford Centre store this evening and they're now selling the plushes from the tree for charity at £5.00. The tree looked great too and there seemed to be plenty 'wishing stars' on there already!

I think this is a really good scheme...

The pin is a really nice one (it's basic, but looks really nice) and the whole thing is only £5, which is about the cost of a normal pin anyway which means that the soft toy to the child is effectively a lovely bonus because of the fact that you're paying no more than you'd pay for any other pin.

I got mine from the Reading store today - I've put the whole pack into an A4 "pocket" that you can get from any old stationary store and then placed that into my pin folder (I've got one of the large folders from Disneyland) because I think it looks really nice in the certificate so I don't want to take it off (but still want to keep it in my folder with all my other pins).

Well done Disneystore for doing this - they must be making a loss from it as they're giving away a £15 soft toy to charity AND a £5 pin to you, all for £5

we've got 670 to sell in 2 weeks, it works out as about 47 a day! i think we're a bit behind at the mo but will no doubt get an update tomorrow

670? Wow, much busier store than mine then. Ours are going ok but not as fast as I hoped. Some people say 'that's a great idea' but don't do it and others do the whole 'I can't afford it' or 'I give already'. I don't mind if people can't afford it but it does make me sad when they say that and they're holding a £4 starbucks coffee. I love my starbucks but I also bought 5 stars!!

I have only bought one star personally, but I can understand what you're saying about people when asked having their own excuses. Some just don't get the 'magic' and joy what will be brought to those children when they receive those gifts. Knowing I've bought just one is enough for me personally, I would have done this regardless of getting the special pin.
