Hey everyone, I reallllllllllllllllllllllllllly want to start pin trading the next time Im at Disney. I wanted to last year but simply didnt have the money to get it started, and i still really dont. Does anyone know where i can get Cheap starter pins, that are still good quality. I dont want to buy scrappers or anything, but cant afford full price pins atm :) thanks

A couple of suggestions:
1. Look at DisneyStore.com and see what pins they have in the clearance section. Sometimes you might find a pretty good deal (just note that you have to pay shipping unless you order a lot). Right now, they don't really have anything, but keep looking.

2. Ebay - this is always a dicey place. Bulk lots tend to be heavily scrappers, but you might look to see if anyone is selling the starter sets (complete, still wrapped, with original backing). You might find some for a good deal.

Thanks so much! will you let me know when you get them? I have plenty of time Since im not going until dec, i just want to have a good collection when I go :)

Got them today (yeah, you can add super-fast shipping to their list of attributes). got 4 sets - all are still in the original packaging with Disney Parks price tags attached.

Got a Pooh & Friends cutie-style set (7 pins), a nice princess set (Aurora, Cinderella, Belle & Ariel), a toddler Tinkerbell set (7 pins) and a Vinylmation set (7 pins - Pinnochio, Peter Pan, Marie, Mushu, Aladdin, and uhm, something green... plus a Mystery Pin 1 of 5). They weren't takiing requests for specific sets, but I did mention that they were for my 5 & 7 yr old daughters in the comments. I think they'll have quite a few keepers and some traders in this group!

Hey! I LOVE pin trading! Last time I went to Disney, my dad bought me a lot of 25 on Ebay. I've been trying to buy another lot on Ebay, and I have the same problem as you. I want to get them cheap, but I don't really want knock-offs. Although I do know that the cast members not only don't care, but also can't usually even tell the difference between real ones and knock-offs. Let me know if you find anything good. :)

The first day of our trip we always hit the Disney outlet in Orlando. They typically have lots of pins that from previous seasons, years, or just stuff that just wouldn't sell in the parks. They are much cheaper here and are great to trade away. Plus you don't have to worry about them being fakes cause they are in the Disney store.

You could go onto Amazon and search Disney pins. I've ordered a 25 lot from toy box collector's shop on Amazon (I believe that's the name) and they were all genuine Disney pins in very nice shape. I just ordered a 50 lot from LA disney pins on Amazon today. I'll let you know how the pins in the 50 lot are as soon as I get them. Both of these lots are a great bargain. Good luck trading, you'll enjoy it. :)

I tend to get mine off of ebay, I just make sure that the seller is reputable first.
