Pin Trading Events

My daughter and I have attended a couple pin tradings. One at a hotel and one at DL. We feel kind of intimidated walking up to the pin traders who have been doing this for years and have books filled with pins. Especially when they know a lot more about pin trading than we do. How does pin trading work? Do we walk up to people and ask to look through their books or do we plunk ourselves down at a table and wait to see if someone walks up to us? How do we avoid feeling intimidated? Debby

We used to feel that way also. But last trip we got talking to some of the people trading at DD and realized they had no problem with us looking through thier books. Now we always thought we would have nothing of value that they would want so this year we have a few L.E. pins that my son is hoping to use.

I personally would be more than hapy to let you look at my book and try to explain how pin trading works. I myself feel somewhat like Nemo around a shark at dtd pin traders but the one night I went to a Pin trading night at Contemp. I felt welcomed with open arms.
