I am thinking about getting into the pin trading game for our trip in October. My main goal is to use it as an exercise for my shy daughter to practice initiating conversations. I thought this would be a fun and safe way to do that. So... where do I get the pins. I found some on Amazon but some of the reviews confused me. Should I try ebay? Any suggestions are welcomed!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Half of the pins are absolute garbage and I threw them away after I saved the Mickey ears backings. The other half are ok. NONE of them are first editions, all are seconds. There are a few we might keep that fit our collection (we got a pumpkin one for Halloween!) but the rest we will trade. Real pins are usually colorful, heavy, smooth, and our ID numbers are printed on the back after stamping is complete. Hardly any of the ones I bought on Amazon even come close to this standard. So just buyer beware. Have fun on the trip! We plan to buy hotel specific pins and then encourage our kids to choose a theme for them to search for: a movie, a character, a park, etc.
