Pin Trading - Back on Fantasy? Question re type of pins

I saw in a reddit thread that someone stated pin trading was back on the Fantasy. Now I know they do this in the shops. My question is those of you with experience on brands of pins that are NOT Disney. I’ve seen loungefly and other Disney pins (not made by Disney). Are these considered “tradeable”? Any experience in either receiving other pins or thoughts would be appreciated. Upcoming Fantasy trip soon and want my DS and friend to be able to participate! Thanks in advance!
