pin trading - alternatives to a lanyard

Yes, it's called "Bargain World". It's on S. Vineland Apopka Road, directly across the street from the Sheraton Lake Buena Vista hotel. There's a Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins attached to the gift shop. It's a favorite non-WDW night time activity for the kids. Go to Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins for ice cream and then walk around the gift shop. They only have two of those tall spinning racks of pins, but the racks are overflowing with them. Like I said, they're discontinued ones or I suppose less popular ones that WDW couldn't sell, but we still like them and have bought many of them. I'm sure most other gift shops have something similar, but we just happen to stumble on this one. If I recall correctly, we found it 13 years ago before any of our kids were even born. But it's become family tradition to go there...the kids set money specifically aside for it.

Thank you! We'll have a rental car our first day in Orlando and I was hoping to check out one or two off site things before we enter the bubble. This sounds like a perfect way to get some traders.

I don't like lanyards either. I usually have a little pouch that has a wrist strap. I keep it in my backpack but when I know I'll be around several opportunities to pin trade (stores ect) I usually just loop it onto my wrist.

I wear a cross-shoulder pack for my electronics and stuff. I have been toying with sewing on a pocket to it with foam backing (like the pin trading books or the hip packs that CM's wear have) for pins. Haven't done it yet though.
