Pin Trading Action at WDW?

My daughter and I will be at WDW from Thursday afternoon, Oct 3rd, to Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 8th.

We have only traded pins through the mail, this is our first time trading at the parks. We would like to have a couple of sessions (2 hours) of serious pin trading while we are there. When (day and time) and where (which park, DD?) should we be to do this? We don't want to tote our pin bags around all day for 6 days, so we want to find the optimum time to do some trading. (We will be wearing our lanyards most of the time!)

There are lots of opportunities to do pin trading with others while you are there. There is a Disney sponsered pin meet on Thursday evenings at the All Stars (sports I think), a pin meet at the Contemporary on Friday evenings, and one on Sunday at the Boardwalk area. There is also a great pin seminar put on by Scoop in Mk on Tuesdays. Right now those in the know are mainly at WDW for the pin event but I am sure they will be able to help you with the details about times later.

Scoop's pin talks are Sunday-Thursday at Exposition Hall in MK at 1 p.m.

Thanks, everyone! I knew these things were going on but could not ferret out the whens and wheres.

We will be doing an IllumiNations Cruise on Thursday night (our arrival day), so we will have to pass on the All-Star meet.

We will have several opportunities to see Scoop... looking forward to these!

What time do people start to gather at the Contemporary? In the lobby? Never been there before.

Is the Boardwalk gathering outside? Time?

Is there a place called Pin Central at Downtown Disney? I was led to believe there was an outdoor location there with picnic tables and such.
