PIN Story

Just a quick PIN story to tell.... I to have been trying all the tricks, etc. to receive a PIN, but no luck thus far. I have been calling weekly and asking them to check both mine and my husbands names, etc. for a PIN. Well today I called as usual and the CM tells me, yes your husband has a PIN associated with his name, it is such a good deal that you would only be able to book the room - no dining, etc. I said, why was the PIN not e-mailed to him and he said sometimes they are not mailed or e-mailed you have to call??? ANyway, then he says - OH now you have to travel in 2009- I said are you kidding - so we would have to book today and travel tomorrow and he said yes. Anyway - so my question is if I call weekly and there are no pins then why in the world would one show up the last week of the year for travel?

Something VERY similar just happened to me last week. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. Once he came to the phone I asked if they ever record calls or kept track of who calls in when, and he said sometimes. Then he asked why and I explained to him how I called a couple weeks ago about a pin and then called back last week and was told I had one but it expired 2 days before. I asked him why I was not given the pin a couple weeks ago when I called because if I was given the pin I would've booked a trip. Then I asked him how it could be possible to get the pin after the first time I called but have it expire so soon? He said as far as he could see it was for travel dates in 2009. Then he said as a courtesy he would extend the pin for my travel dates, which isn't until November 2010! I would call back and do the same thing I did if I were you...
