Hi,
Looking to get my young girls into some trading in Jan. Have already purchased some pins. Where can I get the locking backs? Do they have any generic type ones at craft stores or is it by Disney Only. I see some generics on E-Bay but I am not sure of how good they are.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I've seen them too and was wondering... can anybody help?

Look at any pin rack. Usually they will have rubber backs and locking backs. I suggest when you get there go into your resort's gift shop and buy some in case you need them later. I made the mistake of not buying them and lost my mickey pin :(

Or, if you're not going to Disneyworld/land look at a local Disney store at a mall or something.

I suggest when you get to Disney go to the pin rack in your resort's gift shop . Usually they will have rubber backs and locking backs. Buy a couple of packs and use on your heavy pins and any pins that have two or more prongs on the back. My youngest always seemed to lose one a day untill I got the locking backs.

After having DS #1 lose his beloved Donald Pin outside the Magic Kingdom, (While waiting to get in. God Bless the Dream Team member that gave him a replacement.) we went straight to the pin shop and bought several of the locking backs for the pins. I am glad we did this because he fell in love with the Hidden Mickey Monorails. God forbid if he had lost one of those. We can't live without the locking backs now.

We went to DLR for one day and I had several pins that kept falling off. I locked the ones that I intended to keep. We now have enough locking backs that we should be set for our next trip.:rotfl:

There are people on Ebay that sell metal pin backs that really stay on well. One goes by the name of DisneyPatriot and I've ordered them from him, very reasonably. They're much easier to use than the locking thing-y Disney sells where you need that special little wrench to get them off and on. You can also buy the metal spring backs at hobby stores. Either one works great!

I just bought some of these off of DisneyPatriot. I can't wait to get them so I can wear my pins out more, knowing that it's safe and tight on my clothing :3
