I just snagged a handful. I'm new to collecting and figured this was a good way to get started and really increase my collection.

I love the Mickey in Germany pin especially since my husband and I just came back from there a few weeks ago.

Started buying these yesterday for my dds and got sidetracked. Went back today and got 8 pins but the Dalmatian ones were already sold out . Still have some nice pins though.

We ordered a few pins this week from disneydirect.com to take with us on the next trip for the kids to trade but now I'm not sure if they are tradeable (sp?) or not.

On the card they are on it says Disney Auctions. On the back of the pins themselves they are imprinted with little auctioneer gavels and say:
( copyright symbol) Disney
Disney Auctions.com
Limited Edition 1000
China

It does not say Disney pin trading on it like our other pins do.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As long as they have the Disney name and copyright symbol on them they are OK. You must realize that pin selling trading has been going on for years, but it is only since late 1999 that they realized how to make it into a major profit center. Disney acts as if pin trading was their idea. I think that 2001 was when they first started putting the "pin trading" logo on the park pins.
