Pin Release procedure?

I have never had to have a collectible pin set before, so really, eh. But I am now intrigued by the ToT friday the 13th pin set coming out on Oct 22. That is the day we are probably going to go to the trick or treat party, so it works out.
Is there a certain procedure to getting a limited pin set when they come out? A limit to how many you can buy?

Sometimes there's wristbands issued and there is a purchase limit in place for the popular releases. But I can't see anything posted for this set yet.

Keep an eye on the listing on the Official Disney Pin Trading site here: http://eventservices.disney.go.com/pintrading/pin?id=46740

If there's any special requirements for this release, they will show up there.

If nothing shows up, it should be available at the major pin stores (PT Flea Market in DCA, World of Disney, Pin Traders in DTD, Westward Ho in Frontierland, Little Green Men in Tomorrowland, possibly Greetings from California to name a few).

The entire set is only limited to 250 so you might have some trouble getting it since Friday the 13th pins are pretty popular. Mickey is only available in the set but if he doesn't matter to you, I'd just pick up the LE 1000 pins that they're selling individually since they're more likely to be on the rack when you show up for your trick or treat party. There's a limit of two of each pin, per guest.
