I just got pins when we went in oct last year I am really not interested in trading pins i just like them and want to collect them.
So my question is should I not wear my lanyard and pins if I do not want to trade? is rude to tell people I do not want to trade?
Any other pin advise would be great

Thanks in advance

in all the times we have had our lanyards on at the parks, we have never been approached by another guest to "trade" pins.

when we want to trade, we always just trade with CM's.

Well, I only had to tell one person that I didn't do trading. She was a pre-teen, and was disappointed, but then DH traded with her and she was happy again. :)

Personally, I think the only people who are expected to trade are CMs, and someone thinking that *everyone* trades is misunderstanding to begin with. Just be nice while telling people, IF anyone asks.

Oh, and the only reason the conversation with the preteen started was b/c Woody's Round-Up was delayed, so we were all waiting behind the ropes and got to chatting. If the rain hadn't delayed their start we wouldn't have talked, and she wouldn't have seen our pins to ask!

I've been asked, and have traded, on a few occasions. I have some I refuse to trade and others which I wouldn't miss at all.

You can wear your lanyard even if you have no intention of trading. As any CM or serious but fair collector will tell you at DL (I say it that way cause I have been told this by such people): The first rule is you can always say no.
