Just a question for someone new to pin trading.

I didn't do much trading at my last trip to WDW but purchased many pins throughout the world. Today I went on to the official Pin Trading website to search my pins and find background information on them. I noticed in many of the pictures that were listed on the site had much more detail then ones I actually purchased. For example on a Pin of Mickey and Minnie celebrating the Ohana Breakfast, the picture on the website had Mickey and Minnie with sharp black edges, and eyes that are black, while the pin I own has an outline and eyes that is sort of a faded gold.
Why the difference?

Alot of times the gold doesn't photograph well and it shows as black in the photo.
I have noticed that on pin pics and it is described in the information area as the color is gold but shows as black in the photo.
You also may have been sold what is called "bootleg" pins, where the pin has been copied and made from cheaper materials.
If you can post a photo of the pins you have someone might be able to tell you more about the pins.
