Pin Frustration has hit the Max!

I'm going to throw a pin code tantrum!! I'm entitled to throw it! :mad:
After all these years, I still can't figure out the trick to getting a pin code!!
There was no bounceback for my travel date when I last visited. So, I thought, "Hey, I'm going to hold off booking this year and make Disney think that I might actually not be coming for my annual trip"..And they might say, "Hey, we better entice this girl to get busy and start booking because she might be headed to Universal this year":scared1:...But, Noooooooooo, they are standing strong....they are calling my bluff...I know it!! Which one of us is going to be able to hold off the longest?? :confused3
I want a pin code!!! After all these years, I should get, at least one!! :furious::sad:

Stay strong! I'm using the same strategy...just waiting it out. I finally received my first PIN but not for the timeframe I want. This PIN process is just so random and bizarre...hang in there. I bet you'll get one soon. :goodvibes
 
I think you're on the right track. Last year I got pins once a month on my e-mail and a few post cards in the mail. I booked in december for our july trip because; 1.) I wanted to make sure we got the dates we wanted, and 2.) I figured that I would get the e-mails the same as I got last year.

Knowing what I now know about Pins and discounts, I would have waited until I got an offer before booking. Now I'm just praying for a GP offer to be released for July.
 
I used to get pins all the time and for the past half year or more, not one. I don't get it. At least my boyfriend is getting all the pins now. If not I'd be going crazy for sure.
 

I feel your pain. I can't seem to get a pin. When a public discount comes out, I can't use it for the resorts I want. I'll keep waiting. 2011 vacation is definitely not happening for us this year at full price.
 
I certainly feel your pain. I have check daily and still nothing. I too am frustrated at the system. I would think that it would make sense to reward people who are regulars, but that is why I am not in the marketing business. I had a CM today tell me that all of the pins had been released. I am not sure I buy that. I did start pricing a cruise for the same week. We have never done a cruise and I would certainly miss Disney but I can/will not pay full price or even the small GP code that is out for June.
 
I have never received a pin and have been to WDW for the past 3 years. Last year, I took a friend and her children with me. The reservation was made as a bounceback offer the year before. I told her sign up for the dvd so she could share it with the kids.

She got 2 pins last year!! The bounceback offer was better, so we kept it.

I now have a surprise trip planned for Nov for DD. I went to the mail today...I see a flyer and the words "FREE WDW offers inside". I'm doing the happy dance as I "hope" it's a pin for November.

I get inside, flip it over....it's addressed to MY FRIEND!:sad1: Her name and my address that was on last year's reservation! She has no way of going this year. I am not going to tell her she got a THIRD pin from them.

So, I am still here with everyone else waiting.:confused3

I'm in the same boat as you. If they don't come out with something really good for the fall and our dates, we won't be going this year (at least not to Disney). I am pretty frustrated with the whole pin situation anyways; we got it but it doesn't apply to us as we want to go in the fall. It just doesn't seem fair to make one family pay more than another family just because they got an email. If you are going to have a special...then offer it to everyone (I understand AP, DVC, Disney Visa, etc. discounts) so people can plan their vacations and spend their money wisely.
 
Same here, until today. The pin is for free dining 4/23-8/13/11, but in my sons name! I don't even know where they got it from. I've waiting for years for a pin, and this one I can't even use. :sad2:
 
Don't feel bad. I go to WDW several times a year and have never received a PIN.:mad: I've done all the stuff that everyone says generates a PIN (answer surveys, save trips on the WDW site, order the planning DVDs, order the maps, call to see if a PIN is in my account, make sure my email is correct on all their sites, etc), but still nada.:mad:
 
Same here. I have not gotten one since 2006. That's after a 2005 trip!! Either send PINS out to everyone who has stayed at wdw or make a general pin for everyone. People who don't even Want to go get pins and freq stayers get nothing.
 
OP, you are not alone. There is nothing you can go to get one either. I've tried. I gave up many years ago. :grouphug:

For example: we go to WDW often, we are now DVC members since 2005, we have Disney accounts (shopping, DWTS, Disneyworld, WDCC society), we are Disney Visa cardholders - since day 1, we are AP holders since 1995, we update our profile often making sure the accounts are up to date, we make sure our email is correct every year when we renew our Annual Passes, we are TiW cardholders -- 5 years now (DDE)). We answer Disney surverys at least 6-8 a year -- parks visits, resort stays, website usage. And we have SEVEN (7) email addresses that we use for a variety of Disney websites (DH, mine, DD, DGS, DSIL, pin trading). We are Disney cruise line cast away members too. We've ordered videos, both parks and cruise, and of course we get a ton of DVC stuff via mail. BTW, when searching resorts, I always make sure I Log in just so big brother sees who's searching and yes, I've ordered map and saved trips on a variety of our different accounts. :confused3

As you see there is nothing else we could possibly do to bring a pin to us, so we gave and we don't worry about it anymore. We did get an annual passholder pin 3 years ago and we used it twice, so it's not like we wouldn't use one if we got one that fits. Plus I'v written to the passholder division about the lack of incentives and got a phone call telling me it's "random." whatever.
 
I know how you feel. I haven't recieved any pin codes or even mail. I try all the tricks everyone says on here, but no go. I'm not giving up. Hope something will come way soon.
 
I had called the other day asking if I had a PIN on my account, the lady I talked to checked everybody in my household and said she came up with nothing. I asked if maybe it was under a different address for me since I have multiple emails.

The funny thing is she then told me that she looked and could only find one PIN for a Johnson anywhere in the system and that was in a different state :) Maybe they don't like certain names?
 
I know what you mean. We went for years on cash stays and could never get a PIN discount in our name.

It was so frustrating reading the boards, hearing of all the great deals, and then feeling jealous of others.

To solve that problem--well, we bought DVC and now we don't have to worry about it!! :rotfl2:
