I hear people talking about Pin Codes and email and mail offers from Disney all the time. We have been to WDW 4 times in the past two years and I don't get any emails or mail from Disney!

How do you get on these mailing lists? I am registered at the website, visit it often, and they have our information from the trips we've taken.

We've never been able to get a bounce-back offer either.

Is there something I need to sign up for??

Thanks!

Unfortunately, nobody knows exactly when or how Disney chooses the people that get pin codes or mailings. I just got 1 about a month ago and we ahve been on 10 trips in the last 4 years. If you have registered at the site, you should be on the list.

If you don't have a bounceback offer on the table tin your room, just ask at conceirge if there is one out now and they should be able to provide you with one. The ones I have seen look like a huge pocketwatch with Alice's white rabbit on it.

I registered 4 email addys. Today I got pin codes at two of them. Increase your odds. :)

We've been on the email list since 2005 and have been 5 times and I just got my first pin this week! Not sure if we'll be able to use it though, what a waste:sad1:!

I just got an email today from Disney Destinations, I wish we could take advantage of it but were not going this year not sure when were going back :sad2: It is for $59/Value, $89/Moderate, $139/Deluxe for dates between 8/9/09 to 10/1. the deluxe has a few blackout times during that time span but not the Value or Moderate. I just hope they have great offers next year :)

This PIN thing can drive you nuts. We have been going to Disney every year for the past 16 years. We always stay on site. Sometimes we have AP's, sometimes not. We are registered with Disney.com under a bunch of different emails and once in a while order a Disney planning DVD but have never have gotten a code. Two to three years ago, my brother's family was going to Disney, and staying off site. I ordered them a Disney Planning video, and about once a year, they are emailed a code!! Kills me!

It is hit or miss with the pin codes. We are AP holders for the past 7 years and I think we've gotten pin codes only a handful of times. Sometimes my kids are sent them, but not me and DH. We are also registered online with Disney. Nobody knows the logic behind who does and doesn't get the offers.

Some times you get a pin code, and sometimes you don't! lol. I've received 3 in the last 90 days! And wouldn't you know, I can't use them!

I got that one, but I think my free dining bounceback is better, I think. And it doesn't extend into December for my trip then.

I got an email from Disney Destinations about the Value resorts being $59 per night in August and September too...if I book through the Disneyworld.com website I can't use that, right? So I would need to decide between that offer and free dining?

Sorry, I'm just trying to figure all of this out. This is only the 2nd Disney trip I've planned. (The first being in 2005!)

That's right, you have to call WDTC to get that offer and I called and there are no rooms avail during my dates 9/23 thru 9/26 and it only covers standard rooms. It looks like it would have been better than FD, but since no rooms were avail, we will keep our FD and Pop Century. WL will have to wait yet again

OT: How did you get pics of my kitties, LOL. They look almost identical to 2 of mine, except my white one has really long hair and he is a fat boy. My Cinnamini looks just like your orange one, stripes and all, LOL

That picture was taken last December, I think. My white cat (with big black spots all over him), Elvis, is now over a year old and he's fat too. Nemo is my orange cat. He's now 10 months old.

I know some have said that having a Disney Visa is not how you are selected to recieve pins, but I'm not so sure now. I signed up for one around lunch time today. I just checked my email and guess what was there! I CANNOT believe it! It came from Disney Destinations and the title of the email was "a deal so good you can taste it" . I got so excited when I read it! I just knew what it was, and sure enough!!!

I have gotten two in the last 6 months. I have three email addresses listed on the Disney site. I also recently requested the DCL vacation planning DVD.

I got the "deal so good you can taste it" pin code last night and called this morning to price out a week long trip in December. :cool1:

The first time I had been to DW with DH and kids was June 2008 and we didn't expect to be able to go back so soon! WOO-HOO! I am so excited!

Edited to Add: I also just recently requested the DCL vacation planning cd, but do not have a Disney Visa

OMGosh, I forgot about that! I requested the planning cd yesterday! Guess it's not the Visa!
