PIN codes?

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I did a search and couldn't find anything...

I'm going to Disney World in December, and am wondering about the PIN codes I have heard people mention - something about having them attached to your name?

How do I find out if I have one - do I just phone reservations and ask? Would they apply it automatically or do I have to request it? Are they for rooms only, tickets only, packages only? How likely is it that I would have one?

I want to bring some extra family members with me, but can't afford it unless we get a discount somehow! But, I don't just want to phone up reservations and have them treat me like a loony because I've called the wrong place and they've never heard of such a thing!

Hi! I think that you can get codes a couple of different ways. Last year my sister called to book a room and she was told that she had a code attached to her name. We have also received them via email and I think you could also get them in the mail. I don't know that there is a rhyme or reason to who gets codes, but the CMs are used to people asking about them - so it doesn't hurt to call and ask! Its probably good to get your name and email address in the system too. Some people have also mentioned that ordering the Disney planning DVD seems to help. Good Luck!! I hope you get one!!

I would just call and ask. I have never heard of a CM offering up the info, generally you have to ask. As the PP said, there is no rhyme or reason to who gets them.
