Pin Code - to use or not to use

Well - I have personally seen that there is no rhyme or reason to Pin Codes. DH and I have the credit card, have ordered the DVD, stayed onsite the past 2 years, plan many different trips online without booking and have yet to receive a Pin Code. My mom on the other hand just received her 2nd code within the past year and has not been to DW since 1999, has never stayed on site and has done none of the other things to get you on the radar screen.

Anyway - as my original question. We have a trip booked (my mom is going with us) for August. The Pin Code she just received will save us $86. That isn't really worth the hassle of cancelling and re-booking to me, but if it will help her to get more pin codes in the future - I would be willing to do it. What have been your experiences with using/not using pin codes and getting any in the future? Does it help to use them or is it once you are on the "list" you are good to go?

Unfortunately, there's no sure way of getting pin codes in the future, whether you use one now or not. Some people never get them, while others get them all the time and don't/can't use them for one reason or another. As far as having the pin code applied, there's no need to cancel and rebook unless you are going from one room type to the other (room only to package or package to room only). If the resort you have booked is available under the pin code, it can easily be applied to your current reservation, keeping everything else the same. With that said, I'd call and see if it can be applied as $86 is $86, all for just making a phone call. Good luck .
