PIN Code Shocker!!!

I came home to the somewhat happy news to find the new FD pin code in my email inbox. Unfortunately, we want to go in October so it doesn't do us much. But, I've seen the postings of FD Pins good through Nov, so I decided to call and see if I was really lucky.

To my surprise, not only did I not have the Nov. pin, the CM told me I had no valid pins at all. He verified my address, email and zip code and still there was nothing. I have a suspicion that he didn't want me to have a code, but I don't know for sure. This just goes to prove the fact that you need to call several times before giving up.

Good luck every one! I'd give you my pin if I could.

so the pin you got isn't even valid for the dates it says? i am so desperate for a pin code, i have given up hope for one though.

No, the pin is valid. The CM wouldn't acknowledge I had a pin on my account. I called back later and they said the pin was legit, but it doesn't do me any good.

Keep calling back. You may get lucky.

I used to think that people were crazy about CMs not checking but every time I called and made a payment or changed my reservation I would check to see if I had a pin. I was always told nope . The last time I called was just last week and to my surprise today when I called they said no free dining pin but I did have one that expired on 2/28. WTH how can I have a pin that expired that did not exist just a few days ago?

Of course they blamed marketing and funny thing is this expired PIN never showed up in my email.

When I called yesterday to inquire about a pin# DH had recieved via snail mail, the CM said he was not seeing the pin and asked if I had the #, which I did and promtly gave it to him when he pulled it up he told me it was valid from Oct 18th until the end of the year, not as the mailer stated 12/1 to 12/22.

I am glad I called to ask about the dates since we were able to change our reservation from September to October when we really wanted to go.

I truely lucked out I had the best CM ever he took his time with me making sure every aspect of my booking was correct, I was on the phone for 41 mins the longest ever but it was refreshing to finally get a CM who seemed to truely care and not rush to disconnect. I made it a point to do the survey after the call and going to check the online survey today to see if I can say additional good comments about that CM

Mine was for a room rate but the key thing here is it stated dates of 12/1 to 12/22 yet the CM checked and said it was good From 10/18 to end of the year.

Has me wondering since some have reported getting pins that go past August 13th if you can always believe what your see when you get a snail mail or email promo

I know from now on I will call and question the dates available when I recieve a promo pin instead of putting it aside if the dates listed do not work for me

In any case any discount is better than none so I am happy finally booked for end of October instead of September with the heat and humidity

I got one a few weeks ago. There's no way we can go this summer (though I'm hoping for maybe next year.) But just because it was cold and snowy here, I played with the numbers to price out a trip.

Unfortunately, the PIN code was no good. Apparently it was intended for someone who shares my last name, but lives elsewhere.

I'm REALLY hoping that she got her PIN, and that they send me one that works next year.

I have posted my saga on several threads but here goes again.

Last summer I waited anxiously for a pin for fd for our October dates, never got one, called a couple of times and was told I did not have one. Two weeks before our trip, I called to add another night, it would have to be a room only since the fd general offer started the day after this extra night I needed. Cm doing this for me says "you have a pin and your pin is for fd that starts earlier than your current general offer". So I was able to add that extra night with fd. Never received any email on that pin and the cm said "oh it was here all along but most cm's don't know how to properly look". That pin was about to expire so it was good I got it while it was still available. Fine, all is well that ends well.

Now this year pins come out, I get no email, I call because after what happened last time, I figure I may have one. Nope, no pins. I had a room only booked with a 25% discount, but fd saves me way more. Yesterday, I decide to call and check again (still no email) and oila, cm says "you do have a fd pin". I was thrilled. We are part of a grand gathering so he had to put me over there to rebook a pkg. GG cm cannot find pin. I hold, he comes back and says "sorry, I see no pin". Well I had the name of the first cm (should have gotten the 16 digit pin but I didn't) and I said "I want a manager" 30 minutes later after holding on pins (no pun lol) and needles, manager comes on and says "I am so sorry, we have your pin and we can book you if you still want to". She went on to say that Disney's system is very messed up and many cm's do not know how to properly check.

Bottom line, do call and don't give up. If I hadn't called yesterday, I might have missed a discount that for my family of four is over $1900 for our two week trip. Far better than the $500 room discount I had.

And if I had not asked the grand gathering cm to give me a manager, I would have been out of luck. The manager did mention that this cm "will receive training". Maybe they need to train EVERY cm on how to find pins!
