Pin code ????'s

OK so I finally got a pin code I can use . But I have a few ?'s before I call and use it.

First once I call and check on prices w/ it do I have to book it then or will I loose it if I don't?

Second I have family that will be joining me this trip. They are uncertain if they will use their parents DVC or book w/ me...
Can I book up to 3 rooms w/ a pin code?
Do I have to book them all at once or can I book mine now and then add them in later? Will they still get the deal I have?

Sorry I can't answer all your questions, but I just got the pin and am so excited I wanted to congratulate you as well.

I do know one of your answers though: you can book w/the pin and if needed cancel one (or two) later on. So I would book and then when you find out for sure cancel the other rooms if you dont need them, just make sure its well before the cancellation period (45 days out) kicks in.
