I just received a pin code for free dining Sept. 28 - Oct 11.

4-Night/5-Day package at select Disney Value Resorts including Theme Park tickets and FREE DINING, just $63* a day, per person based on a family of 4.

Hmm... I'm already booked with free dining Sept. 20 - 27. Maybe they like me so much they want me to stay an extra week!

I got this e-mail also, but I already have CSR booked for 6nts,7 days,PH passes, and dining for 2 adults, dd10,and dd6 for $2494 using a pin code I got by email 2 months ago. Pricing my package online at regular rates comes to $2947, so I saved $453.00. Wouldn't I save more than that using this new pin for free dining? If I call, will they be able to just apply the new pin # to my existing reservation or will we have to start all over?

We just booked our trip last week, then yesterday we got this pin by e-mail. Will Disney let us apply a pin on a trip that has already been paid for in full?

I got it and we are going! I am SO excited by this unexpected trip!

To pp, I don't know how they apply new PIN codes, but will ask my TA and see what she says about it.

Woo-hoo to Free Dining!:cool1:

I'm not seeing that as much of a deal! $63 per person, based on a family of 4.....so that would be $252 per day for this family.

Even if you assume the WORST scenario for this....that is that the family of 4 is made up of everyone being over 10 years old, therefore an adult for dining purposes......that's $38 dining x 4 people or $152 a day for the dining....that means that the room cost is $100. THAT is no bargain for a value room. And if you assume that the family has even one of those kids under age 10, that would make the value room cost $128 a night. That's just barely a bargain room rate for a moderate, thats over rack rate for a value. Throw the second kid in as a dining child, and of course it's only gonna get worse.

Sounds to me like Disney is having a LOT of trouble filling their hotels during this month....perhaps the 4 swirling storms currently threatening their state is causing people to cancel??? :scared1:

Personally, I'd much rather go at a less hot, humid and stormy time and pay for my own dining plan......even at rack rate it would be equal the cost but much better in terms of weather! Throw in a AAA or other discount and it's all around better deal!

Call and ask to have it applied.....worst they could say is no.

Well....if that's right, than we may have gotten a better deal already. We booked it with the Oct-Dec MYW package discount. Can you do a general discount + a pin?

But the $63 per person also includes theme park tickets. I'm sure with this pin you are probably paying rack rate for rooms, paying for the tickets, and getting the dining for free although I haven't actually calculated this to be sure.

OK...now I have done the calculations. If you base the room rate on 4 nights at a standard value room in value season with 5-day MYW base tickets the total on the WDW site comes to $1,272.02. Divide this by 4 persons then divide by 5 days = $63 and some change per person per day. Not sure if the numbers would change once you get into regular season on 10/2 or if the same rate applies throughout the promo.

Forgot to add, in those promos they almost always calculate their per person/per day amounts based on two adults, one junior, one child.

The previous code was $49 a day for a 5 night stay at a value resort. So it would be like getting dining for $14 a person. Not saving any money on kids, but good savings for adults. I don't know how hard it would be to make ADRs at this point though.

Ahhh, ok, that would make a little more sense. Being an AP holder I always forget that people actually buy tickets, lol. I stand corrected!

And just what is a junior? I'm guessing that it means this child is over 10....so paying adult prices for tickets/dining, but NOT being charged the "extra adult" fee for rooms? If that's correct:

3 adult tickets x 5 days MYW = $666.00
1 child ticket x 5 days MYW = $187.00
Dining 3 adults x 4 nights = $456.00
Dining 1 child x 4 nights = $40.00

Value Room is typically $82 a night until October 1, then $99 a night.

so if you figure $82 x 4nights = 328
Total $1677

Free Dining Package $63 x 4 x4night = 1008....so that IS a bargain.

The only ADR I wanted that I didn't get was Chef Mickey's. We had to settle for brunch at Donald's Safari breakfast instead of breakfast, but it still works with our schedule.

Yes, they will refund you for the difference. If you paid with CC, they will refund that. Our AAA TA suggested not paying off our trip until fall discounts were announced so we didn't have to wait for refund.

I've never done this so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you could still apply this code even though your package is paid in full. You would need to see which offers you the most savings, though, as you can not "stack" discounts by using both the discount you already received and this new pin. However, you also have to consider that if the free dining pin is a greater savings, WDW will probably charge you a change fee (I think it's $50?) since you are within your 45 day window.

Disney let us use the early October room discount AND the free dining plan!!!!! We're getting a credit back for $200+!!!!!!:cool1: :yay: :dance3: :rotfl: :goodvibes :cheer2:

While it could be possible, I'd be surprised if you are getting free dining on top of a room discount. Assuming there are two adults on your ressie, the dining plan would be a little over $300 for 4 nights. So if they actually tacked free dining on top of your existing package, your credit should have been more. Regardless, congrats on saving even more money!
