Pin code for relative at my address!

This has happened before too. We took my sis, bil, niece on a cruise/vacation in 2000. I made the ressie in my name for all 3 rooms and I have gotten pin codes to both my sis and my niece at my address. What about me? We paid the bills for that trip. Dang. Now I can't afford to do this again but am really happy to have been able to do it then. I just wish I could have the pin code that came in the mail this week. My niece doesn't even live in Ohio anymore.

I took my brother 2 years ago, and now I get pin codes for him. He has never lived here, he lives in FL!

Same here! I just got the post card in the mail yesterday. I was sooo excited to see it, I have been waiting for years to get one, then I saw it was in my nieces name. I took her twice when she was a minor and I paid for everything, all reservations were under my name and address, her name was there, of course for here ticket, but then the code comes under her name, at my address - where she has never lived Why can't they send these things to the person who is the lead on the reservation? Is sending a post card to a minor who can't make a hotel reservation or hold a credit card the best use of their advertising dollars? Plus it doesn't give me a "magical" feeling toward them. If I had a code I could actually use, I could maybe swing one more trip down there, but now that's not going to happen Oh, well, I have been before, many others will never get to go, so I should count my blessings rather than complaining - but I was wondering if I was the only one to get this kind of weird combination of wrong names and addresses - I see that I am not. Thanks for letting me vent. I guess it's been a bad morning - I will try to turn that around.

I get the codes for my mom at my address too. She will never go back to WDW either. sigh

I got a postcard yesterday sent to my sister's name. She stayed in rooms connected to my address in 2001 and 2004. She stayed in a room under her own address last year - 07.

I got one for my aunt last year....they wouldn't let me use it unless she went. It sucked because she will never have the money to go (not much of a saver) and therefore I didn't get to use it.


On the upside I just got one for ME in the mail today!!!!! So it can and does happen! I hope it happens for you!!

The same thing happens to us all the time. We went last year and took Dear Family Friend. All reservations were in my name. Now ALL Disney mailings that come to my house are in *her* name! It's really pretty aggravating when you think about it. I paid all the bills, and I can't even get lousy junk mail addressed to me? Oh, well, the good news is if we ever get a pin code addressed to DFF that we want to use, she'll just come back with us!

If the pincode comes to your address for someone else you can still use it as long as that person is listed in your "household"

Me too! Got one with my mom's name on it for our address since she went with us on our trip last year! I haven't crunched all the numbers, but it looks like not quite as good a deal as the free dining, which we are doing in just ONE MONTH!!! So that makes me feel a little better. THe dates for my PIN are later in the fall, and since we're committed to going in Sept we won't be doing another trip again that soon. Well, maybe in my dreams.

I agree, ask to talk to a manager or supervisor, I was able to book with a pin offer for October, $139 at POR.

Out of curiosity, what kind of discounts are people getting with these PINS? Mine said it was for a 5 night stay at a value with basic MYW passes for $371 per person. I wonder what percentage off that works out to....

I have had this happen to me and it makes me so mad b/c I took my mom to disney in 2006 and they send all of these flyers and post cards w/ a pin and none to me not even to her address to my knowledge. She even got the most recent one for 59 a night at the values for this month and next talk about and then my mom had the nerve to tell me they have sent a few things to her house for me but they were never that good talk about

This happened to me too. I got and email pin code (actually 3 different pins this year) with my SIL name on it and I called and they said I can't use it even though it was sent to my email and we go at least every year and last year we went twice. I never get discounts though. Kind of makes me think of staying offsite because it frustrates me.
