PIN Code expiration??

Hi everyone!

I received a PIN code in the mail, for either $82 Value resort on select nights or if our dates our flexible (which they are!) 30% off the non-discounted price!

We have already booked a bounceback offer (Free Dining) with park hoppers and a preferred room from 9/26-10/01 at Pop Century for a grand total of $1136 - not a bad deal.

However, with the 30% off PIN code, we have discovered that we could do a Poolside view at AKL for only $1943.86, including dining and park hoppers for the exact same 6 days!

We are unsure about the exact dates, and we know that once we book the 30% off room, our bounceback for the Pop Century is going to be cancelled and we won't be able to recover it.

I was wondering, my mailing didn't have any expiration date on it, does anyone know anything about expiration dates, and is this even that good of a deal? Is AKL worth it even without a Savannah View? We were thinking that if we have the funds at the time of check-in, we'll ask how much an upgrade is... should we try WL instead? I'm so torn... ! BUT SO EXCITED!!! Hehehe....

All offers have expiration booking and travel dates.
If in doubt, call and give the code you have and ask what the deadline is.
I would say it depends on how much you plan on being in your room or at the resort and using their facilities.
If you will be in the park anyway, just go with what you have.

We actually did a LOT on our honeymoon this past year, and spent most of the time at the parks, this time we would like to relax and enjoy a nice resort, and we ADORED Boma, I'd make a ressie for every single night there! Haha... jk, I won't, but my hubby would love it!

Anyway, I was just wondering if the deal is a good one? If our price seems reasonable or about average? Is it worth it to not have a Savannah view at AKL, or would WL be a better choice for us? And when I called to ask about the PIN code, they didn't even have it on file, they had to search by my name, and the CM was NOT too helpful, kind of dim if you ask me, I asked when it expired and he said that it should say on the card - it really doesn't, I've examined it about 1000 times! Should I call back?

I would call back. But first I would play around on the Disney internet site and see what offers and prices come up so you have an idea what is available.
Keep in mind inventory on-line and calling in is often different. But you certainly will get good ideas to base your decision on.
I have not stayed at AKL. (We have at WL, other deluxes and even values.)
I am sure an AKL stay is nice. But I would be like you where I would lean to wanting a Savannah or probably a different stay elsewhere.
Pool views don't do a lot for me.
A lagoon view or Bay Lake view I could (and have) go for.

So where would you suggest?

We would love to stay at a place that gives us the most bang at the resort, we love the parks and will definitely visit them, but being able to immerse myself in a resort sounds like heaven... Poly looks beautiful, but a bit expensive, even with the 30% discount... Contemporary and Boardwalk are two other gorgeous resorts that I've visited, but I've never visited the Wilderness Lodge and ever since I was a kid and I saw the video with the gorgeous fireplace I've wanted to stay there...

How is it there, by the way?

We had a courtyard view, in 2003. VERY nice stay. Lovely resort. Nice location. Easy access to Epcot and MK.
Lacking in a food court of any size. But nothing really to complain about.
Contemp is very nice. We have stayed MK view twice. And really could be happy with Bay Lake view too.
Also stayed this year at FQ. Very nice stay too. CSR is also nice.
And I would like to try a pirate room at CBR!
Recently also stayed at Beach Club with a lagoon view. VERY nice.
But have also recentkly stayed at Pop and had a good stay. Although the 50's bldg was much bette rthan the 70's.
Quite a variety available.
