Pin Code and Reservation??

So I received a pin code in the mail for 20% off my room for next Oct. 19th - 25th. We'll actually be arriving on the 18th. So I called to make the reservation. I figured I would just pay the regular rate for the 18th and then get the 20% off for the 19th - 25th since they do that day-by-day rate now. Well the guy on the phone (first off couldn't even find the pin) said he would have to do two separate reservations in my name, and there would be a very good chance I would have to change rooms after the first night. Well that seems like a huge hassle! Especially since I would only be saving about $130 in all. Does this sound right to everyone? Or have you been able to book something like this and not change rooms??

We have been able to get the reservations linked - just make sure when y ou check in to tell the CM at the desk about the 2 reservations...

and just in case - make sure your room key still works on day 2 (not at Disney but at another hotel I had to book the same room 2 nights, 2 different codes, I was assured I wouldnt need a key - wrong, I needed a new key card - I was not happy since I asked specifically)

It is correct you would neeed two reservations.
Chances are you would not have to switch rooms. But I certainly can see why a res agent would warn you it is a possibility. Better to tell you up front than be surprised later. I don't know that there is a "good chance". However ther certainly is a chance of it happening.

That is to bad, it seems like there would be an easier way to transition the two reservations. Good luck... here's hoping the allow you to stay in the same room!

The OP could make one reservation for their entire stay. However then it could not be with the pin code they want to use.
