Pin Code and Linking reservations

A few questions... My sister's family and my family are traveling to Disney in October, staying at the same resort. Well Dear Sis received the FDining pin. Is it possible to link our reservations and use the pin for both rooms? What if one of us has already transferred our reservation to a travel agent? Can we still do this? Or would we have to cancel our original reservation with travel agent, wait for a refund and then rebook? Any idea how long it takes to get refunded? Thanks for all of your help!!!

You can link them and get the pin for 2 rooms. Who is using the TA you or your sister? I don't know if it makes a difference, but it might be easier if both were either with a TA or not with a TA. What I would do before cancelling is ask the TA. I am sure they would know or would find out for you.

I'm not sure how it will work with a travel agent, but I was able to link 3 rooms to the same pin for our last family trip. I had a reservation in my name, one in my dad's, and then added my sister's reservation link a few weeks later.

Is that one person with the PIN responsible for paying for all 3 rooms? Or does each room/family pay their own way with their own credit card (including the $200 deposit)?

And do all 3 rooms have to be at the same hotel? And for the exact same dates?

The way it was explained to me is that all guests must stay at the same resort, but the dates do not have to be the exact same, they just need to overlap. So if you are going Oct. 18-26, the other room could be booked for Oct. 20-28.

I just did this 2 nights ago booking 2 rooms for our Dec 22-31 trip with free dining over Christmas (insane). Anyway, my sister received the PIN so the first room had to be booked in her name. The second room is booked in my name and linked to the PIN. I used the same credit card for both rooms, but was given the option to use different cards for each room. So no, one person does not have to pay for all the rooms. It can be split up by room.

Only thing to be aware of here, is that the first room required my sisters email address in the system for the first room as it is tied to the PIN even though I'm doing all the planning and booking. So that's the only pain I've run into is needing her to forward me the communications for the room in her name. But, no complaints here, free dining over Christmas week is one heck of a present and well worth the extra inconvenience
