I know there are pin boards at the following resorts but wondered if there are others I don't know about:

POR and POFQ
Contemporary
Wilderness Lodge
Polynesian

Are there others?

Donna

There are also pin boards at:

Old Key West - in the store

Yacht Club - in the store

Beach Club does a Pin game as an alternative to the board which is a fishing game... great fun for kids and adults! (again in the store)

Thanks for the info. I'm making a list! Also, I enjoyed your dining reviews. My DSis and I are going in about a week and doing the free dining.

Don't forget that at Guest Services at every park, there are pin books too! :)

At the Yacht Club, there's also a pin book. If you're facing the front doors from the lobby, it's at the service desk on your right.

Thanks! I knew about the one at the Outpost but not the one at the desk at the YC.

How do you trade from the board or the books? Do you have to ask for the book or the board? Are then certain times they are out? I have not heard of either of these and am very curious!

As am I!! These boards and books sound exciting :D

I'll chime in on the Yacht Club stuff. I was there in August & in the store they bring out a pin board twice a day, I believe at 9:00am & 5:00pm. When it's your turn, you look at the board & get to trade away one of your pins for any pin on the board. You can actually trade 2 pins in exchange for 2 pins. As far as the book goes, you just ask the cast member at the desk if you can see it & you can trade 2 pins. The book normally just sits on the back counter behind the cast members, waiting for someone to ask to see it.

Hope that helps. :thumbsup2

Very cool, i didn't know about the books at the YC and the game at the BC! We are staying there in 2 weeks, so i will be definately using those!

I think Saratoga Springs has a horse-blanket with pins.

Not a pin-trading board, but the last time we visited Caribbean Beach *all* the CMs in the Food Court wore lanyards.

PO/R & PO/FQ each have a pinboard in the lobbies AND a trading board in their gift shops.

agnes!

Thank you everyone for all the good info. I'm making a list. It's going to come in handy when I arrive on Monday! :goodvibes

BC had pin fishing in the Marketplace. I'm not sure exactly what time, but I want to say around 6pm.

You are given a fishing pole with a magnet on the end. You fish into a bucket that has 3 balls with magnets. Each ball has a character on it (mickey, goofy, etc). After you catch one of the character balls, they go to a little 3 draw cabinet, each drawer having a matching character. So if you catch the mickey ball, they open the mickey drawer and pull a lanyard out of that drawer. You can trade 2 pins off of the lanyard.

DOes anyone have any more info on the Wilderness Lodge pin trading boards/books?

It's with the pin cart near the back of the lobby. There wasn't much of a selection in the book on the 12th when we were there.

Thanks DJT!! I will keep this in mind as we tour the resorts in search of pins!!
