PIN blackout dates

Can you still apply your % off PIN if your ressie begins on a blackout date and just get the % off for the rest of the nights? I have been told by a CM that I could and just had to pay more for the first two nights that were blacked out..then she said, no, you actually can't do that.

I *think* you may need to do two separate reservations -- one for the days at the start of the trip that aren't included under the discount and then a second one that starts on the first day that the discount is valid.

We have blackout dates during our upcoming trip but we were able to do it as one reservation because the blackout was at the end - so the vacation starts out with the discounted nights then at the end we're playing rack rate.

I should add -- if you do it as two separate there is a chance that you'll have to switch rooms when the second reservation starts. And if you want to do the ddp you'll have to get at least a one day ticket on each -- so there are factors to consider with doing them sep.

You should just call a CM and ask. I've read reports from other posters who have said as long as they're ressie has started, they were able to apply the pin (like free dining). It probably depends.

Well, bad news. CM basically told me what I knew he was going to. He said he could do a room only for the first two nights, then I would probably have to check in and back out. Also, of course I wouldn't have the DDP unless I bought one day tix for those first two nights. Blah..too much trouble. For now, I guess the kids will have to miss 1 day of school! Still hoping for FD with no blackouts instead of working around this PIN!!
