Pillsbury's Halloween cookies..........Big hit!!

Just baked some of the new "ready to bake" Halloween cookies and they're awesome! Kids loved them. They have the edible images you place right on the frosting. Just had to share. It's a great Halloween treat also.

They were on sale, and with the coupon at my store it was maybe a $1.00.

Maybe they will be the after school treat today or tomorrow. --haven't gotten around to making them yet.

I like the Nestle cookies better.

You know, phins_jazy, you could always make cookies the "old fashioned way" with flour and eggs, etc.

This is coming from a person who used the Nestle coupon in Sunday's paper to buy cookies to bake tonight.

Funny thing is everytime I "try" to do it the old fashioned way, they end up hard as rocks. At least with the ready to bake kind people might think I can bake.....at least a little bit!!

I *think* these are the sugar ones with vanilla icing and a transferable, edible image you put on the cookie...

I bought THREE kinds yesterday.. and one of them were those...


But the chocoalate ones with the ghosts in the middle sound really really good now!

A tip for baking the Casper cookies--bake them slightly underdone (that is, at the minimum baking time).

When they're soft and mushy, they are so delicious!
